Philharmonic Dining Rooms (Nicholson's)

With its ornate wood panelling and coruscating stained glass, The Philharmonic Dining Rooms is as grand as its name. The spectacular public house transports patrons back to Victorian times, to an era when buildings were designed as statements; the more flamboyant the better. Situated on Hope Street, The Philharmonic is ably operated by Nicholson’s. Step inside the capacious tavern and you’ll find a generous selection of real ales. Pull up a seat at the bar and peruse a beer menu that’s laden with tempting options. From chocolate stouts to tangy hops, there’s a tipple here to wet your whistle and earn a place in your heart. Few pubs can survive on alcohol alone of course, and The Philharmonic supplements its liquid sustenance with a food menu that’s based around traditional pub favourites, in keeping with its character. Originally built as a gentleman’s club at the end of the 19th century, The Philharmonic has been referred to as ‘the most ornate pub in England’ and for good reason. Come for the stunning decor. Stay for the good vibes and good beer.

It's such a beautiful pub! That makes it just worth a visit. Watch the details! There are so many! Up until the men's room. Good Ale's selection. Food could be a bit better, but you'll survive. I just did small bites and couple of Ale's.
